A native of Northern Virginia, Rachel Harrington attended George Mason University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with a concentration in Education. During her time at Mason, she was awarded many accolades, including Best in Performance for her graduating class. She was also recognized as one of DCMetro Theatre Arts Best Supporting Actresses for her role as Princess Puffer in The Mystery of Edwin Drood. She has had the distinct honor of performing with Patti LuPone and has trained with world-renowned actors such as Stacey Keach and Ed Gero. Rachel is a classically trained singer who has participated in many singing groups, operas and done much solo work. She is a high ranking Mezzo-Soprano who has competed throughout Virginia for a number for titles. Her most recent operatic performance was in The Pirates of Penzance where she portrayed the character of Ruth. But some of her greatest accomplishments have been in the classroom. Rachel has had a knack for teaching theatre since she was a camp counselor. Throughout college, she continued to work with community theatres, school programs and as a teaching artist in Fairfax County. She has taught adults and teenagers voice and participated as vocal director for many local community theatres.
